LegalSuite Dashboard

One of the latest additions to our program is the Dashboard, this facility gives a quick concise overview of your practise and will be particularly handy for managers in your firm.

To access this feature you will have to have supervisor security level.

How it works: Click on the printer button at the top of your screen next to the exit button.

The following screen will appear:

Click on the Dashboard button and the dashboard will appear.

The dashboard will be displayed in Microsoft Excel. You will now be able to view a breakdown of the top 5 income, expenditure, cost centres, employees, clients, Matters, creditors etc. per period by clicking on the relevant tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Conveyancing

ACB Codes

We have been requested by the financial institutions to update our software to validate all ACB codes for ABSA and SBSA bank accounts to ACB 632005 and 051001. i.e. ABSA ACB code 632005 / SBSA ACB code 051001.

This should happen on all ATP messages and Debit order details messages sent to the bank. These changes will reflect in version 4.X.879 or higher of the program.

Tip of the Day

How to SMS a Party or Parties linked to a Matter from the Desktop

You are now able to send a SMS message to a Party or Parties linked to a Matter from your Desktop.

How it works:

Tag the relevant Matters on the Desktop and then right-click on one of the Matters to bring up the menu.

Choose "Send SMS Message" and the program will then ask if you want to send and SMS to a Party linked to these Matters, click on "yes".

The following screen will appear, choose a Party (e.g. Defendant).

An SMS message will then be sent to all the Defendants linked to the tagged Matters (who have cell phone numbers in the Address Book).

This can be a very powerful feature if used in conjunction with other areas of the program.

Example #1: If you set up an Alert to tell you which debtors have a PTP's due this week, the program will display the list of Matters (which you can tag). Then go to the Desktop and send them all SMS's simultaneously.

Example #2: You can filter your Matters by all Clients who are over 60 days arrears with their account. Choose Tag All and then send them an SMS.

Humour Department

During a revival an evangelist asked people in line what they needed.

One man's request was for his hearing. The evangelist laid a hand on the man's ear, prayed for him, then asked: "How's your hearing?"

The man replied: "I don't know. It's not until next Tuesday."

LegalSuite Christmas Party 2006

LegalSuite Christmas Party 2006

As the year is drawing to a close we decided to end it with a bang by attending the Surfing Safari show at the Barnyard Theatre at Gateway.

The show brought back youthful memories to the older crowd and was an eye opener to our younger staff members. We had loads of fun before, during and after the show and dressed in our beach attire we could be easily distinguished from the rest of the crowd.
