ABSA - Receiving Instructions via the ABSA Web Service
Revised: 24 November 2009
Introduction:
ABSA has developed a new Web Service to send bond instructions to their panel Attorneys. This system replaces the current “RegiBond” system. The ABSALink icon has been replaced by a new tab on the Desktop called ABSA Instructions, to bring it in line with the FNB Instructions and LAW Instructions tabs.
The RegiBond Module that you currently use for downloading ABSA instructions and making payment advices, will be terminated at the end of November 2009. From 27 November 2009 you will download the Bond Instructions from the ABSA Bond Centre, without the use of the RegiBond Module using the new ABSA Web Service. The Bond Instruction will be imported into your LegalSuite system which will enable you to produce the ABSA documents that do not reside on the ABSA Bond Centre.
The ABSA Bond Centre will support capture of the payment details for the purposes of producing the Loan Debit Authority document via the ABSA Bond Centre. (ATP)
The RegiBond Module will still be supported for payments and instruction download until 30 November, after which payment advice may only be made via the Bond Centre.
The ABSA Bond Centre supports milestone synchronization and in a future phase of the development of this system, LegalSuite will be able to download the milestones you have completed on the Bond Centre and update the relevant Reminders on the Matters in LegalSuite.
