Introduction:

LegalSuite has added an option to allow or restrict access to a particular screen/window in the program. This can sometimes be a little tricky, as you first need to be able to identify the user’s security group as well as the name of the security procedure.

To make things easier, we’ve added an option to allow you to set the security for the window that is currently open. In order to do this:

Step 1 – Accessing the Security (Current Window) Screen

Open the window you wish to set or restrict access to and then select “Security (Current Window)” from the setup menu.

Step 2 – Allowing and restricting Access

A new window will then open to allow you to set the security for that window

Highlight the Security Group on the Left Hand screen and either ‘mark ‘ the Allow Access option or remove the tick for those security groups that should not have access to that procedure

Step3: Allowing and restricting access to various actions

In some areas of LegalSuite a user can complete various actions such as Insert, Change and delete. You can now set the users security in that particular screen for inserting, changing or deleting from one screen. Go into the area of the program you would like to set the access for i.e. changing a matter, the click on “Setup” and select the “Security (current window)” option and the following screen will appear:

Within this screen you can allow or restrict the security group to each of the options on the right.

Conclusion:

This feature in LegalSuite allows you as a user to set your security procedures in an easy and user friendly manner. A user has to have the necessary rights in order to make the above changes.
