ADVANCED MODIFY TAGGED MATTERS

We have a lot of requests from Clients to add more and more options to the “Update Tagged Matters” screen. It is difficult for us to insert every available column (there is not enough space) and so we have added an “Advanced” Tab to the screen which allows the user to select any column from the main Matter tables and assign it a value.

You can click the Lookup button (next to the Column field) to lookup a list of valid Column names.

When the user presses OK, the program will create a SQL script to change the tagged Matters accordingly.

Notes:

· You can use Merge Fields in the Value field (see diagram)

· The Advanced Tab is only visible to a user who has Supervisory rights and the critical accounting columns have been excluded so that the integrity of the accounting system is not affected

· All the SQL scripts generated by this procedure are recorded in a log file (LogFile) so we can view the changes that have been made to the database using this method.
